SINGAPORE – May 8, 2020
Singapore is using robot dogs to enforce social distancing in parks. The remote-controlled, four-legged machines warns park-goers, “For your own safety and for those around you, please stand at least one metre apart. Thank you.”
The remote-controlled, four-legged machines are built by Boston Dynamics and are deployed in a central park as part of a two-week trial that could see it join other robots policing Singapore’s green spaces during a nationwide lockdown.
